The disconnection and reconnection of energy sources is a common requirement for electrical providers. To streamline this action we designed a device that can remotely suspend or reconnect energy to a home depending on whether the household has paid for the service or not.
The device required specific design parameters in order to block the energy meters installed on users’ premises. To do this, we enabled a key that allows the device holder to mechanically activate the device. In addition to being a dielectric device, meaning it poses no threat of electrocution, the device is simple to instal and is adaptable to various meter box models.
Easy User Experience
After developing and testing several prototypes, we arrived at the design comparable to that of a locking device. The user is able to remotely suspend and reconnect the service pending their customer’s payment. In this way, the user is able to save time traveling to the location to manually suspend and reconnect the electrical services.

Users are able to unlock the device with a numeric password in order to reconnect electrical services. The device is functional even in challenging conditions.
